Defence desk

Nobody should lose a full bunker overnight.

Raids are not random. Each business has a stock threshold and an idle clock, and both only run while you are registered in a session. Check your stock against the line, then fix the habits.

Am I in the danger zone?

Pick a property, set what is sitting in it, and see whether a raid timer can start on you right now.

A raid timer can start

You are holding GTA$490,000 of stock, and a failed defence typically destroys around GTA$98,000 of it. Without the security upgrade the idle clock is at its shortest. Sell, or disband before you go roaming.

Sell at or just under half a bunker if you are logging off soon. A single-supply solo sale is always one vehicle.

When a raid can start

  • BunkerUp to 20% of stock

Triggers: Above 50% stock · 5 hours idle, 10 with Security

The most commonly raided property because people leave it full overnight. Sell before you log off.

  • Cocaine LockupProduct and supplies

Triggers: Any stock above 0 · 3–6 hours idle

MC businesses are raided as a group message. Check every one after a raid alert, not just the one named.

  • Meth LabProduct and supplies

Triggers: Any stock above 0 · 3–6 hours idle

Same MC rules. Defending is a free-roam mission you have to attend.

  • Counterfeit Cash FactoryProduct and supplies

Triggers: Any stock above 0 · 3–6 hours idle

Lowest value at risk, but the same interruption cost.

  • Weed FarmProduct and supplies

Triggers: Any stock above 0 · 3–6 hours idle

Rarely worth defending on value alone, but a failed defence wipes supplies too.

  • Document Forgery OfficeProduct and supplies

Triggers: Any stock above 0 · 3–6 hours idle

The cheapest raid to lose. Still worth the security upgrade if you own it.

  • Special Cargo WarehouseCrates destroyed on a failed defence

Triggers: Large above 77 crates, Medium above 29, Small above 10 · Triggered while registered as CEO

Raids only fire while you are registered as CEO in a public session. Unregister and the risk stops.

  • Nightclub warehouseA slice of stored goods

Triggers: Above 20% stock · 4 hours idle, 8 with Security

Buy the security upgrade. The club holds the most value of anything on this list.

  • Acid LabNone

    Triggers: Not raidable · —

The Acid Lab cannot be raided. This is a large part of why it is the best passive property for a solo player.

Thresholds are community-tested figures, not published by Rockstar. Treat them as the safe side of the real numbers.

The "ghost raid" explained

  • • Raids need you to be registered as CEO, VIP or MC President in a public session. Register inside the property, do what you need, then disband before you go roaming.
  • • A 'ghost raid' is almost always a raid message you missed while in a mission or a cutscene. The timer still ran; the stock still went.
  • • The security upgrade roughly doubles the idle time before a raid can fire. It is the cheapest insurance in the game for a bunker or nightclub.
  • • Leaving the session, or quitting to story mode, cancels an active raid without losing stock. It is not elegant, but it works.
  • • Sitting inside the business itself blocks the raid from starting. Restocking or managing from the computer resets the idle timer.
  • • Stock is never lost while you are offline. The idle clock only runs while you are in a session.
